I was in class one day in my high school and we were allowed to play our iPods on a small speaker set our teacher had. I put mine in and began playing Imagine, and the entire class (minus one or two) began to sing along. It was the most amazing thing I've seen. Thank you, John Lennon, for connecting millions of people of different ages. We hope to see your vision come true.

In answer to a common question. The people who don't like the song are possibly bible literalists who have a problem with a particular verse in the song. I've heard people in real life, not even on the Internet, who have a problem with this song. And of course the song does have a bit of a socialist streak in it. I don't say that as an insult, I love the song. It's slightly ironic that Jesus words also have a good socialist streak in them. Anyway, people can like what they like.
