@BorryDutch yeah, i wonder about that as well. i think ricky gervais and stephen merchant are a great team, too. but they write and direct and play in sitcom, so i'm not sure we can call them a comic duo in the same sense. they do a great job anyway!

@dyonissos I was just thinking the same thing! I'd say Monty Python was the first Generation of genious comic teams, and these guys; fry, laurie, atkinson etc. are definately the seocond generation. I don't know who the third would be.
